Easter Fun

I truly love the holidays, big or small, they are all each fun and unique in their own way. Even if its the special foods that we make on those certain holidays or in this case the Easter Egg Hunt. This year Kaiya will actually be old enough to understand how to find the eggs and that each one will have a special surprise just for her. I am thrilled to spend those special moments with my wonderful child (even though she a brat 90% of the time).

I have racked my brain for weeks on how to make our own special Easter traditions and what to put in her Easter basket. I have come up with the wonderful combination of the things that she loves and only a little candy.... I have an Easter basket surprise I would love to do but I am too scared that  Ellie (the dog) will eat the "rabbit droppings" before Kaiya can follow them to her basket and left over carrots from the bunny.

Kaiya has been especially spoiled this Easter, she has gotten "early" Easter gifts from all of our extended family, between shopping spree's and boxes full of goodies she is a happy little girl. Though this makes it more difficult for us to pick and chose what to get her we know what she has gotten and what she would like more/want of.

Dinner will be amazing, even though our "original" plans have been changed we wont let that damper our moods. I cant wait to make our yummy food and spend a full day with my family. I am truly blessed between the life that I have chosen and the decision that I have made. Work is amazing and I am truly blessed to have found such a wonderful company to work for, I will be here until they close there doors or until we are no longer in Virginia. My wonderful/crazy husband, we have our ups and downs but love can defeat all odds. Last but not least Kaiya and Ellie, my two wonderful, crazy kids that both drive me crazy, but I couldn't live with out them.

As a child I never really thought how much work it is for the "fantasy characters" that surround the holidays. Now as a mom I see that it is difficult and the traditions they she will remember for ever and they will be the same each year. I have to say that I do not do the very exact same things that my parents did for us or the Cody's parents did for him, but we try and combine all of our traditions and change/make new ones for our special family.

Happy Easter to all and I hope the Easter Bunny brings lots of spring to you!
